All three new FWCS board members chosen in the last election were the first names on the ballot. Does that mean the primary qualification for local public office depends on the first letter of your last name? That's all I can think of as a reason for Steve Corona being on the school board for 28 years. Nobody knows who the hell they're voting for.
That's the bad news. The good news is that nobody cares who the JG endorses either.

I have to agree with you on that one. Plus he spent over over 27 and a half thousand dollars on his campaign. The most ever. Spent more than five times as much as before. Two thousand came from the FWCS teachers union. Do they really think Mr. Corona is doing such a good job? Look at the test scores. The pigs will soon lining up at the trough.

Mitch Daniels did not cut school funding but wouldn't increase it. Think FWCS is happy? Nope, still want more. Everyone else including the city is trying to cut expenses, not FWCS. Got news for them....there is no money-I don't care who is on the board.
Daniels is going to "help" them by allowing them to order supplies through the state so they can get a better price. My guess is it will also be a way to monitor what exactly is being purchased.
Did you also know Daniels is proposing something so parents can't sue the school when a teacher tries to implement discipline and order? Yes, imagine that, a teacher being able to actually admonish disruptive students so they can do their job.
Daniels already capped property tax and Republican house wants to make it permanent. So FWCS are not going to be able to railroad property owners for money every time they want a swimming pool or baseball stadium. Anyway, what students need is clear leadership promoting integrity, accountability and character. Hmm....wouldn't that be a unique idea.
Using this analogy, this must be why you were able to stop the building improvement plan since Blue starts with the letter "b" and Yellow starts with "y". Voters probably voted for the first thing they saw! I would guess you are just grasping at straws. I would guess that people are smarter than that but I would suppose you have a reason for that.

No, we stopped the building project because homeowners saw a direct effect on their pocketbooks. They don't see the connection to their school board reps who voted for it. 7000 people who signed blue petitons didn't even know they were outside the FWCS boundaries and hardly anyone I talked to knew who their school board rep was. Voters are mostly ignorant about local candidates. So flooding them with mailers and being at the top of the ballot is what it takes to win.
